Play with LMFC

Logan Metro FC has a proud history of female participation at the club. In 2024, the club appointed our first ever women and girl’s coordinator to manage all aspects of female football at LMFC and create more opportunities for females to play football.

Below you will find a brief rundown of the female opportunities available in 2025.

MiniRoos all girl teams (5 to 12 year olds)

MiniRoos is designed for kids of all abilities, aged 5 to 12. The nationwide initiative uses short, game-based sessions to introduce the sport of football to newcomers in an inclusive way. It focuses on learning new skills, being active, making life-long friends and, potentially, unearthing the next generation of Subway Socceroos or CommBank Matildas.

Youth Girls team (under 17 girls)

If you are interested on being part of our plan to field our first ever all girl’s youth team to play in a Football Queensland competition. Training will be once or twice a week on a Wednesday/Monday

Games will be played home and away from March until September.

To register your interest, fill in the form and someone will get in touch Women and Girl Teams EOI.

Senior Women

For females wanting to play competitive football, we’ll have 1 or 2 teams (depending on numbers) playing in Football Queensland’s competition. Training will be once or twice a week on a Wednesday/Monday.

Games will be played home and away from March until September plus finals. To register your interest, fill in the form and someone will get in touch Women and Girl Teams EOI.

Girls United Social League

Our Social league is all about creating fun, social football environments for women and girls to boost their confidence, build fitness and make friends.

Our Girls United Leagues is a social football competition. The leagues offer a more flexible, lower commitment playing format than traditional football over10-week block.

A great option for women who haven’t got the time to commit to the traditional training and game format of club football, or for those who want to build their skills and confidence before moving into a club football team.

Our league will run over term 2 & 4. With games played on Monday nights. Register your interest to play in our social league by going to Women and Girl Teams EOI.

Coaching, managing, refereeing, volunteering

Our teams, programs and initiatives don’t run without dedicated volunteers. The club endeavours to upskill and provide opportunities for coaches in return for their volunteering like coaching courses paid for.
